Can You Change the Color of Your Braces?

Yes, you can change the color of your braces. You can change the appearance and customize the color of your braces by changing the color of the elastic bands that attach the wire to the bracket.

What Colors Can You Pick?

There are many colors that you can choose to color your braces. The elastic bands come in a variety of colors including: Pink, Red, Extreme Green, Orange Blast, Blue, Mediterranean Blue, Plum Purple, Obscure Clear, Kelly Green, Deep Black, Light Blue, Dusky Blue, Hot Red, Lavender, Navy Blue, Smoke, Teal, Yellow, Gray, Gold, Silver, Purple, Blue and Green. Check with your Orthodontist to see what colors he/she has available.

How Often Can You Change Colors?

You can change the color of your braces every time your orthodontist has to change your wire. This typically happens every month or two. Because it is only the elastic bands that change the color and not the brackets, which are glued to the teeth, it is very easy to change the color of your braces.

Can You Pick More Than One Color?

Talk to your orthodontist about how many colors you can choose. Typically you can choose several colors to customize your braces. Using the different colors, you can create different patterns and combinations to change their appearance. Some people choose a checkerboard pattern while others may choose one color for the top and another for the bottom.

Use the tool above to see what your braces will look like with different color combinations. Once you have found a combination that you like, take it to your orthodontist and have them change the color of your braces.
